Passport fees
Passport fees are set in Sterling but they are payable in Ireland in Euro. The Consular Rate of Exchange used is €1.20 to £1. They are not refundable.
Please be aware that because of the fluctuating rates of exchange, fees are subject to change. We advise that you check the correct fees on the day you send us the forms.
Applying by post: A bank draft, postal order or credit card are the only acceptable ways to pay for passports being sent to you by post. Please ensure that your bank draft/postal order is made payable to the British Embassy. (Failure to do this may result in your application being returned).
Applying in person: Visitors to the Passport Section may also pay by credit card, cash or Irish cheque, on production of a valid cheque guarantee card. At the moment we have no facility to accept payment by debit card.
