Lost or stolen passport:

Q: What should I do if my passport is lost or stolen?

A: You should report the incident to the nearest Garda (Police) station and , if your passport has been stolen, obtain a Garda Report.  You should then inform the British Embassy in Dublin (ph: +353 1 2053700) in order to reduce the risk of someone stealing your identity or attempting to enter the UK on your passport.  Find out more about Lost or stolen passports.

Renewal:

Q:  If I live in Ireland where do I renew my passport?

A: You can renew your passport at the British Embassy in Dublin.  You will find more information on the Passport renewal pages.

Travel:

Q: Can I travel without a passport?

A:  It is not advisable. Visit the FCO travel advice centre for further guidance
