The role of the Defence Export Services Organisation (DESO)  is to provide assistance to British defence companies and to Irish customers interested in acquiring British defence products. We can assist companies involved in the export market in a number of ways, including:

• Assisting Irish government organisations to purchase British Security and Defence equipment.
• Assist Irish companies who wish to bid for UK or Irish contracts to find a UK partner.
• Giving assistance to company-led marketing campaigns.
• Nurturing relations with key decision-makers in the Irish Government and to promote NATO interoperability ion the equipment programme.
• Harnessing other parts of MoD, the Armed Forces and Whitehall to support industry’s efforts.
• Negotiating and supporting Government-to-Government agreements.
• Advising Department of trade on export licence applications.
• Supporting MoD’s defence diplomacy efforts.
