Lisbon Treaty entry into force
The President of the Czech Republic signed the instrument of ratification of the Lisbon Treaty on 3 November. This follows Ireland's adoption of the Treaty via a referendum on 2 October. View our Flickr gallery below to see our Ambassador meeting some of the civil society campaigners and watching the vote count at the RDS in Dublin.
The UK Government believes that the Treaty will allow the EU to be more effective on the world stage and more efficient in the way it does business.
